Tom Flick was born August 30, 1958 in Patuxent River, Maryland and is a former quarterback in the National Football League who was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the 4th round of the 1981 NFL Draft. A 6'3", 190 lbs. quarterback from the University of Washington, Flick played in seven NFL seasons from 1981-1987 mostly as a backup. He played college football at the University of Washington. He married his fiancée Molly on June 15th,1985. He stayed with Cleveland Browns teammate George Lilja in the spring of 1985 when both guys were playing in Cleveland according to The 1985 Cleveland Browns media guide. The highlight of his career occurred in 1986. He quarterbacked the San Diego Chargers over John Elway and the Denver Broncos in Mile High Stadium. He is in the long line of fine quarterbacks to come of the University of Washington. He was preceded by Pro Football Hall of Famer Warren Moon. Other QBs to follow him were Steve Pelluer, Hugh Millen, Billy Joe Hobert, Mark Brunell, Damon and Brock Huard. He was coached in his 4 years by Don James. He was the losing Washington QB in the 23-6 loss to the Michigan Wolverines in the 1981 Rose Bowl. He spent his career playing with the Redskins, New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, San Diego Chargers and the New York Jets.
