Everyone used to call them groovy and hip, now they're the tightest act around. They've got edge. They sing their songs with a pop and sizzle that makes people take notice. From the first note to the last encore, they grab the audience and never let go.
With a two minute recording called "Kind Of A Drag", five teenagers from Chicago's west side found themselves propelled into the national spotlight. Neighborhood kids drawn together by music, they landed a spot on a local teen showcase and managed to record a song on USA Records. The single rolled to number one on the Chicago charts in early 1966, and swiftly proceeded to top the national charts.
After the demise of USA Records, the Buckinghams signed with Columbia and followed "Kind Of A Drag" with "Don't You Care", "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy", and "Susan".
The Buckinghams have appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, Jerry Lewis, American Bandstand, The Smothers Brothers, Entertainment Tonight, P.M. Magazine, and Classic Rock with Wolfman Jack.

Original members Carl Giammarese and Nick Fortuna have put heavy emphasis on reestablishing themselves as a major recording group.
