Mr. Edwardson joined CDW Corporation in January 2001. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of CDW Corporation since January 2001 until September 30, 2011 and served as its President since January 2001.
He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Burns International Services Corp. from March 1, 1999 to 2000 and served as its Chairman from June 1, 1999 to 2000. He served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CDW Consultants, Inc. and Federal Express Corporation.
He served as the President of UAL Corporation and United Air lines Inc. from July 1994 to September 1998 and their Chief Operating Officer from April 1995 to September 1998. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Ameritech Corporation from 1991 to 1994. He served as the Chairman of CDW Corporation since May 2001 until December 31, 2012 and CDW LLC. He has been an Independent Director of FedEx Corporation since June 9, 2003 and Rockwell Collins Inc. since November 2012. Mr. Edwardson serves as a Director of Loomis, and Fargo & Co., CDW Consultants, Inc. and Rockwell Collins Satellite Communications Systems, Inc.
He serves as a Member of Investor and Executive Council at D Cubed Group, LLC. He served as a Director of CDW Corporation since January 2001 until December 31, 2012 and Focal Communications Corporation. He served on the Board of Trustees of Purdue University and The Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He has been a Director at ACE Limited since 2014. He also served on the Advisory Council of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He served as a Director of Burns International Services Corporation since 1999. He served as a Director of Household International Inc. (now, HSBC Finance Corp.) since 1995. He served as a Director of UAL Corporation and United Air Lines Inc. from 1994 to 1998. Mr. Edwardson holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University in 1971 and Master's Degree in Business Administration from University of Chicago in 1972.
