Marks has always had a passion for home improvement even as a young child growing up in Rome, Ga. During spare time each summer she would shadow her father on his construction sites until eventually after graduation from the University of South Carolina she became project manager for a construction company. After working in over 25 industrial companies nationwide, she then took an interest in theatre in which she trained at the Royal National Theatre in London, England. Marks has remodeled and redecorated her own home several times and when she is not shooting for Southern Home By Design she can be found taking time out with her family and enjoying the outdoors.
