In 1983, Tony was a Junior National Bodybuilding Champion who was training for the Mr. America Bodybuilding Championship. Six months before the competition, he was blind-sided by a school bus causing numerous lacerations to his body and face, two herniated discs, a cracked vertebra, and a dislocated knee.
Tony bounced back from this tragedy by getting healthy, physically fit, and raising his self-confidence. This led to the development of a motivational non-impact resistance exercise technique designed to reshape, redesign and re-strengthen the body with minimal joint stress.
In order to raise the necessary capital to fund a limited local public access program, Tony started a cleaning company, which became a hit. In 1987, he began selling his fitness tapes on the Home Shopping Network, breaking almost every record they had for personal training videos and equipment. While still working with HSN" he began producing his infomercials and in 1993 he began promoting his fitness products on QVC".
