Born on June 27, 1990, Taylor Phinney is a world champion American racing cyclist. He is specializing on the track in individual pursuit. He was racing professionally for UCI ProTeam BMC Racing Team. He started his career in bike racing at age of 15 on the Team Slipstream's Junior Team. In the year 2007, he won the Junior World Championships for the time trial. From then on, he has competed in the Nationals, World Cups and World Championships for track cycling event. He finished seventh in the individual pursuit at the year 2008 Summer Olympics. During the United States National Track Championships, he won gold medals in the elite 1.
