Shane & Shawn Ward, twin designers from New York City, by way of Detroit, launched their shoe collection in the Fall of 2003 with the goal of making the most comfortable - hip - fashion shoes ever!
With a history of designing shoes for companies such as Adidas, Converse, Fila, Puma, Rockport, Merrell, etc, the twins have taken their expertise in designing athletic and comfort shoes and combining it with their sense of style to create the ultimate fashion/comfort brand.
For the Fall 2012 season, Shane&Shawn teamed with KangaROOS to create the new ROOS-Shane&Shawn collection, combining the rich athletic heritage of ROOS with the twins' high style aesthetic. In addition to paying homage to the original ROOS look by incorporating the brand's signature side pocket, Shane&Shawn have infused the classic with the current, drawing further inspiration from music, nightlife and cool culture. The men's, women's and kid’s collections featured sporty silhouettes, edgy design, and the famed comfort of the twins' eponymous line. The collection launched nationwide at Finish Line, online at Zappos.com and at the trend-setting boutique, Sportie LA.
In addition to celebrating the 10 year anniversary of their eponymous shoe company in 2014, the twins are currently working on two startups set to launch in 2015: a lifestyle social app and an uber-luxury consumer goods company.
The Shane&Shawn brand has been featured on Access Hollywood, CNN, The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, Women’s Wear Daily, The Tyra Banks Show, and The Wendy Williams Show, in addition to Oprah’s acclaimed 'O' Magazine. The twins were also named to People Magazine’s 2008 Hottest Bachelors and BE's 2007 Most Powerful Players Under 40. Celebrity fans include Fergie, Green Day, David Beckham, John Legend, Good Charlotte, Jamie Foxx, Bijou Phillips and many more.
