Although her family has been cooking "Lonestar Style" for 150 years in their restaurants and hotels, she was the first to be a classically trained chef. Sarah, a former beauty queen, country music singer, and actress, found herself recreating classic Texas cuisine with an elevated twist in a style she calls, the "New Modern Texan" on the TV series, Food Network Star. You can take the girl out of Texas but you can't take Texas out of the girl... most days you can find Sarah fishing on the gulf, making homemade rootbeer for her 2 sons, and chomping her way through Houston's blossoming food scene on her web series, Let's Eat Houston.
