She is known as a writer and television producer, and most importantly for her provocative and culturally relevant journalism. She was awarded an EMMY for her half hour special 'Embargo Contra Cuba', analyzing the controversial U.S. embargo against the island.
Sandra once served as a producer for Fox Television's 'Good Day New York'. She also served as an assignment manager and producer of public affairs for Telemundo's evening news in New York.
Her career began as a reporter at El Diario/La Prensa, New York's oldest and most widely circulated Spanish newspaper. She also served as a spokeswoman for Elizabeth Holtzman, the former New York City Controller.
