Peter Ricchiuti is an assistant dean at the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, and former chief investment officer for the State of Louisiana. In 1993 he founded the Burkenroad Reports. He is a popular public speaker on Finance, and regularly provides consulting to groups like NFL players, and commentary for national media entities like NPR. In 1997, he was appointed to the board of Amedisys, Inc.Ricchiuti has twice been voted the Top Professor of the Year by students at the Freeman School of Business. His teaching style is typified by injecting humor into technical finance lectures.
Ricchiuti founded the Burkenroad Reports in 1993. The Burkenroad Reports is an innovative student-run investment research program at Tulane University. The reports focus on stocks of small-cap companies in six southern states, ranging from Texas to Florida. The Burkenroad program has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNBC, CNN, Nightly Business Report, et al.
