Pat Shurmur is an American football coach. He is currently the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles. He was previously the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
His uncle, the late Fritz Shurmur, served as the Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator from 1994-98 and helped that club win two NFC Championships and one Super Bowl title. Pat has four children, Allison, Erica, Claire and Kyle. He was interviewed by the Cleveland Browns on January 7th, 2011 to be their head coach
Shurmur began working for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999. On January 21, 2009, Shurmur was hired by Steve Spagnuolo to be the offensive coordinator of the St. Louis Rams. On January 13, 2011, Shurmur was hired by Mike Holmgren to be the head coach of the Cleveland Browns.
Shurmur played college football at Michigan State University.
