Norris Cole was born October 13, 1988 and is a professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans. He played previously for the Miami Heat where he was a part of winning two NBA Championships.
Cole was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in the first round of the 2011 NBA Draft as the 28th pick out of Cleveland State, but in a series of draft night deals, his rights were subsequently traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, who then dealt them to the Miami Heat.
Cole was the salutatorian of his high school class and earned a bachelor's degree in health sciences from Cleveland State. He is the cousin of NFL's Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Trent Cole.
