Nandan Nilekani Co-founded Infosys Technologies Ltd., and served as its Chief Executive Officer until June 22, 2007. Mr. Nilekani served as Managing Director of Infosys Technologies Ltd. until June 21, 2007 and also served as its President. Mr. Nilekani served in various capacities with Infosys Technologies Ltd., including Chief Operating Officer and Head of Banking Business Unit. He Co-founded NASSCOM and the Bangalore chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE). In January 2006, he WAS named one of the youngest entrepreneurs to join 20 global leaders on the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF) Foundation Board. He served as Co-Chairman of Infosys Technologies Ltd. from June 22, 2007 to July 9, 2009. He serves as Vice-Chairman of The Conference Board Inc. and serves as the Co-chairman of the IIT Bombay Heritage Fund. He served as Chairman of Management Council of Infosys Technologies Ltd. He has been involved in various initiatives of the Indian central and state governments. He served as Chairman of the Government of India's IT Task Force for the Power Sector. He serves as a Member of the Board of Governors of IIT Bombay. Mr. Nilekani served as Director of Infosys Technologies Ltd. from July 1981 to July 9, 2009. He served as Non-executive Director of Thomson Reuters PLc (formerly, Reuters Group PLC) since January 1, 2007. He also serves on the London Business School's Asia Pacific Regional Advisory Board. Mr. Nilekani served as a Member of the sub-committee of the Securities and Exchange Board of India that dealt with issues related to insider trading and as a member of the Reserve Bank of India's Advisory Group on Corporate Governance. He is the recipient of several awards including the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, 'Distinguished Alumnus' award in 1999. In 2005, he was awarded the prestigious Joseph Schumpeter prize for innovative services in the field of economy, economic sciences and politics. Mr. Nilekani received a Bachelor of Technology, or B-Tech., in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bombay.
