Designer, lifestyle expert and television host Monica Pedersen grew up in the world of home repair and remodeling, absorbing her father's handyman skills, as well as her mother's talents with a sewing machine. This self-taught designer developed a passion for beautiful textiles while traveling the world as a successful fashion model and incorporates what she calls her "fabric obsession" into most of her designs.
She is a designer on HGTV's popular show Designed to Sell, and is a host of Bang For Your Buck, which shows how to get the most out of any renovation budget.
Pedersen also appears regularly on Live With Regis and Kelly and NBC's Today show. She also co- hosts Dream Home Giveaway, a yearly sweepstakes special with the prize being a fully-furnished home, and takes viewers inside the homes of HGTV hosts and designers on Home for the Holidays.
