Mick Cronin was born July 17, 1971 and is an American college basketball coach and the current head coach of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball team. From 1991 to 1996 he served as a varsity assistant coach and junior varsity coach at Woodward High School in his native hometown Cincinnati, then moved on as an assistant under Bob Huggins at the University of Cincinnati and under Rick Pitino at Louisville. Cronin's first head coaching job was at Murray State in 2003. In three seasons at Murray, Cronin led the team to the tournament twice and was named the 2006 Ohio Valley Conference coach of the year. After the 2006 season, he was hired as Cincinnati's coach, replacing interim coach Andy Kennedy. In his time at Cincinnati, Cronin has amassed a 185-117 record.
