Michael Tchong has founded five successful companies, starting with MacWEEK, which was acquired by Ziff-Davis in 1988. Tchong's vision of the Mac at the center of the graphic arts world propelled the weekly's annual revenues to $18 million. In 1992, Tchong established Atelier Systems, which focused on the nascent category of "personal communication" software.
Realizing the potential of the Internet back in 1994, Michael Tchong founded Interstellar, a company that launched CyberAtlas, a preeminent market research site. After just four months online, CyberAtlas was acquired by I/PRO (Internet Profiles Corporation). Tchong's subsequent start-up, ICONOCAST, a weekly online newsletter and event company aimed at the emerging wave of Internet marketing, was sold in 1998 to Imagine Media, now part of The Future Network.
