Meredith Bagby is a youth trend expert, teacher, and author of six published works which include We've Got Issues: A Young Adult Political Guide and The Annual Report of the USA -- a widely acclaimed book that analyzes the U.S. budget as though it were a financial statement for a large corporation and cuts to the heart of what citizens should know about our government.
Bagby has worked as an on-camera reporter for CNN in New York covering economic and political issues from a youth perspective. Her other TV appearances include Larry King Live, Good Morning, NBC Nightly News, CBS This Morning and CNN's Talk Balk Live.
As a feature executive with DreamWorks SKG, in Los Angeles, Bagby worked on developing films such as Gladiator II and The Terminal with Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. In 2004 Bagby was a teaching fellow at Harvard University's JFK School of Government focusing on political issues for youth as well as studying the intersection of Hollywood and Politics and the Presidential Campaign of 2004.
Because of her expertise on youth trends, Bagby has testified from a youth perspective a half-dozen times before members of the U.S. Congress including the Senate Finance Committee, the Bipartisan Commission on Medicare, and most recently the President's Committee to Strengthen Social Security. She is a board member of the Gen X Think Tank: Third Millennium.
