Mark Vicente has traveled extensively and had many choices open to him, but he knew from age fourteen that he wanted to be a cinematographer. After working as a news-cameraman in Apartheid South Africa, Mark went on to shoot music videos and commercials. His first big break came when he was chosen as Director of Photography on the musical, "Sarafina" starring Whoopi Goldberg. In 1992 Mark Vicente got the opportunity to go to Hollywood and shoot the Disney film, "Fatherhood" starring Patrick Swayze. At 26 years old Mark was one of the youngest Cinematographers to shoot a big budget studio picture and went on to shoot another 14 feature films. Mark Vicente is currently in development to direct The Carrington Affair.
