Mark Helfrich was born October 28, 1973 and is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at the University of Oregon, where he previously served as the offensive coordinator from 2009 to 2012.
After winning the Pac-12, the Ducks were selected to play in the Rose Bowl, where Oregon justified that #2 ranking by beating the defending champion, the Florida State Seminoles. They then advanced to the CFP National Championship against the Ohio State Buckeyes, which they lost 42-20. It was announced on February 9, 2015 that Coach Helfrich had signed a 5 year contract extension worth $17.5 million.
