Born on May 30, 1963, Lomas Brown is a former American college and professional football player who played as an offensive tackle in the National Football League for eighteen seasons in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He was known by the Florida High School Athletic Association as one of the thirty-three all-time greatest Florida high school football players and was named the "All-Century Team" in 2007. He was playing for the college football for the University of Florida, and received All-American honors and an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida. He was a team captain, a first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection, first-team All-American, and won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the best blocker in 1984. It was in 1984 also when he was inducted into the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame as a "Gator Great" in 1995.
