I am a journalist and author. I'm the Busy Cooks Guide for About.com and I have created and tested recipes for major food companies like Pillsbury and Malt-O-Meal since 1987. I have also written articles for Woman's Day magazine, my recipes have appeared in 'Quick and Simple' magazine and 'First' magazine. I have also been a columnist for 'First' magazine. I was the 2004 holiday spokesperson for Arm & Hammer, and I was a guest expert on the 'Ask Heloise' radio program.
I hold a B.A. degree in Biology from St. Olaf College, and a B.S. degree in Food Science and Nutrition with High Distinction from the University of Minnesota.
I was a member of the Bake-Off Staff at Pillsbury five times, was Manager of the Search Team in 1992, and was Manager of Internet Recipe Search in 2000. I developed original recipes, conducted tolerance tests, presented recipes to taste panels, and styled food for photography. At Malt-O-Meal, I developed quick and easy recipes and held cooking demonstrations for health food fairs.
I've now written twenty-four cookbooks and am in the process of writing two more. Stay tuned!
