As an Aussie native, Kym started learning the art of dance at the age of 3, training in all aspects of the performing arts including, singing, ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics. At 13, she was inspired to concentrate her talent in the field of competitive ballroom dance. She then went on to be the Australian Ballroom Champion and represented Australia in the world 10 dance championships for two years running.
Kym then performed on the world tour of the modern ballroom stage show Burn the Floor and further grabbed Australias attention when she appeared in seasons 1-3 of hit TV show "Dancing With The Stars." Kym took the dancing crown and won season 2.
In 2006, Kym came to the United States when she was asked to join the US version of the dancing show. Her first partner was talk show host Jerry Springer during Season 3, where she won the hearts of America. Her other partners include Joey Fatone, Mark Cuban, Penn Jillette, Warren Sapp and Jaleel White. Kym has won two seasons of USAs "Dancing With The Stars" with Donny Osmond and Hines Ward.
It was not long before Johnson was featured in numerous TV commercials and campaigns. The demand for her curvaceous appeal increased exponentially after her seductive shoot for FHM Magazine. Other highlights of her successful career include dancing at Elton John's 50th birthday party and appearing in the hit Australian movie "Strictly Ballroom."
Kym made her Broadway debut in 2009 in New York City and rejoined the cast of "Burn The Floor." She also has three fitness DVDs out. Dancing With The Stars: Cardio Dance is the highest selling US fitness DVD of all time. She currently resides in Los Angeles and goes back to Sydney, Australia as much as she can!
