Kevin Bleyer spent most of the last decade as a writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where he won four Primetime Emmy awards, a Writers Guild Award, and the show became the most consecutive Emmy-winning program in television history. But it's the on-air apology he squeezed out of Keith Olbermann he cherishes the most.
Kevin spent the better part of the previous decade writing and producing Dennis Miller and Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, and somewhere in there he executive produced pilots for Comedy Central and Showtime. It's all a blur.
In 2013, Kevin lived for almost three months in Kyrgyzstan, where he executive produced Central Asia's first political satire news show, Studio 7. He's taken his satire global, having traveled the world and skewered the headlines direct from hotspots as far-flung as Bishkek, Doha, Basra, and Des Moines.

Kevin is the bestselling author of Me the People: One Man's Selfless Quest to Rewrite the Constitution of the United States of America—which details his selfless quest to rewrite the Constitution of the United States of America—and he's the co-author, with Governor Bill Richardson, of How To Sweet-Talk a Shark, recounting among other adventures their 2013 humanitarian mission to North Korea. His weekly column in The Daily Beast, launched that same year, is usually shorter than a book. And so are the scripts he works on now as a staff writer for Fox's Sleepy Hollow. Heck, those aren't even books.
As a speechwriter, Kevin has contributed to many of the (funnier) speeches of President Barack Obama, including all of the President's addresses at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner.
A graduate of Stanford University, he began his career, if you can call it that, at the London Bureau of Public Radio International's "Marketplace." Today his commentaries can often be heard on National Public Radio, and he's an occasional guest commentator on CNN, MSNBC, and CBS Sunday Morning.
One last thing. In 2008, Kevin became a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, so he secretly runs the government. He probably shouldn't have told you that.
