Jon Embree was born October 15, 1965 and is the head coach for the University of Colorado Buffaloes. A former American football tight end in the National Football League, Embree previously served as tight ends coach for the Washington Redskins. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the sixth round of the 1987 NFL Draft, after playing college football at Colorado.
Embree has previously coached for the Colorado Buffaloes, UCLA Bruins and Kansas City Chiefs.
Embree was named the Buffaloes head coach on December 6, 2010.
