Arrington is a 1994 graduate of the University of Miami, where she was a member of the university's tennis team and was selected as the university's Orange Bowl princess.
She is the daughter of former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Rick Arrington, and the aunt of young actress Dakota Fanning. She resides in Beverly Hills, California.
During an interview with University of Georgia coach Mark Richt in 2002, Arrington pronounced Georgia defensive end David Pollack's last name (pronounced POL-ak) as if it were a slur directed at the Polish. Critics have often cited the incident as an example that sideline reporting adds little to games.
