Jason Pierre-Paul was born in Deerfield Beach, Florida and is a defensive end for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He played college football at the University of South Florida. He was considered one of the top defensive end prospects available for the 2010 NFL Draft.
He amassed 49 tackles, 14 sacks, 19 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, one interception and one fumble recovery as a freshman at College of the Canyons and earned First-team All-WSC and All-America honors.
In 2008 Pierre-Paul played at Fort Scott Community College (Kansas), where he 70 tackles, 10.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries and earned First-Team little All-American honors. In 2009 Pierre-Paul played 13 games with seven starts and totaled 45 tackles (16½ for losses) 6½ sacks one interception (returned 18 yards for a touchdown), three passes broken up and two forced fumbles. He was name First-team All-America by Pro Football Weekly for his efforts. He was the Defensive Lineman Performer of the Week for week four in the College Performance Awards. After his junior year he decided to forgo his senior season and enter the 2010 NFL Draft.
In the 2010 NFL Draft, he was the 15th pick in the first round taking by the New York Giants.
