Jason Babin was born May 24, 1980 and is an American football defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. He played college football at Western Michigan.
Babin has also played for the Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs and Tennessee Titans.
On March 19, 2010, Babin signed with the Tennessee Titans. He went on to enjoy his finest season as a pro, with 58 tackles, 12.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.
Babin was named to the 2011 Pro Bowl following the season.
Following his Pro Bowl Season, on July 29, 2011, he signed a five-year deal with the Eagles worth approximately $28million. This deal also includes guarantees in the $5-6 million range and re-unites him with former Titans defensive line coach Jim Washburn. In week one of the regular season against the St. Louis Rams, Babin had two sacks, which matched his previous total during is his last stint with the Eagles.
Babin has also played for the Seattle Seahawks, Kansas City Chiefs, Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, Jacksonville Jaguars, and New York Jets.
