Holly Robinson Peete is well known an Actress, co-host of “The Talk,” activist and philanthropist who has spent most of her life in the entertainment industry. Her acting career has spanned over four decades and her philanthropic efforts have let her become a voice for her father, her son and others suffering from Parkinson’s Disease and Autism.
At the age of four, she made her first TV appearance on an episode of children’s TV show Sesame Street. After earning her BA at Sarah Lawrence, she returned to acting and landed a role on “21 Jump Street” and portrayed her character for four years on the show.
In 2010, she was cast to be a contestant on the third season of “Celebrity Apprentice,” where she was playing for the benefit of her own charity, the HollyRod Foundation, which provides support for families with autism and Parkinson’s Disease. Her amazing performance went on to set an "Apprentice" record for the most money made on a single task, and she ended the season by finishing as the runner-up to that seasons winner Bret Michaels.
Later in 2010, Robinson was invited to become one of the first co-hosts of The Talk, a daytime talk show airing on CBS. In this forum, Robinson became known on the show for candidly expressing her views on ethnicity and being especially vocal on issues of the African American race and autism.
