Prior to forming Hemisphere Capital, Killen served as Senior Vice President, International Operations, of Yahoo! Inc. from January 1998 to June 2001, and previously as the company's Managing Director, European Operations, from September 1996 to December 1997.
In 1996, Killen launched Yahoo!'s operations in the UK, France and Germany, and led the development of the company's business elsewhere in Europe, as well as in Asia Pacific and Latin America. The process Heather established for prospecting, evaluating, and executing strategic investments and acquisitions resulted in a number of successful transactions, ranging from minority investments to the 100% acquisition of Kimo, valued in excess of $100 million.
Killen was a member of the company's operating committee from November 1999 to June 2001. Earlier in her career, Ms. Killen held positions with Ziff-Davis and Salomon Brothers Inc.
