The newest (2002) edition cataloguing more than 2500 sites and 500 site reviews includes a dozen articles by the staffing industry's leading experts and was named one of the top ten career books for 2002 by Joyce Lain Kennedy, a nationally syndicated Career reporter and author. Gerry has published more than 30 articles in professional journals and business publications and writes a free commentary delivered to an "opt-in" audience of 25,000 recruiters each month.
An engineering graduate from Stevens Institute of Technology with an advanced degree in organizational behavior, Gerry's career in human resources spans 30 years -having worked in Career Planning and Placement, Executive search, HR management (with Johnson & Johnson) as well as in General Management in the staffing industry with Shaker Advertising before starting his consulting practice.
Active in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Gerry served as Chair for SHRM's national employment committee, was VP-at-Large on SHRM's board in 1999 and currently serves on the national board of SHRM's Employment Management Association.
