Gary Zelesky developed his personal motivation and speaking out of the ashes of his own life's struggles. Gary parents divorced when he was two years old and as a result he was forced to live with his abusive aunt. Eventually Gary was placed with his mother, where things only got worse. From the age of four to twelve, Gary was raised by his mother and alcoholic stepfather. Physical and verbal abuse became commonplace parts of his everyday life. At the age of twelve, Gary was finally allowed to live with his biological father and life began to change. With the care of his father, Gary was able to emotionally heal from all the abuse he had experienced earlier in his life. Gary became involved in many high school sports and eventually sat on student council; a long way from his early years.
Gary has been speaking publicly since 1975 and began his speaking career somewhat by fate. Professional speaking was not a career that he was pursuing but a career that was pursuing him. Given the diversity of occupations that Gary has experienced from sales to owning and operating his own company, it seemed that motivating others to pursue their passions would become his trademark.
Gary began accepting more opportunities to speak as the news of his enthusiasm spread and soon his calendar was filling up. This made it difficult to focus his time and energy toward his company that grew to become international in scope and influence. In 1990 Gary decided to make his career professional speaking, and the rest as they say is history.
Since then Gary has traveled around the world delivering his entertaining style of motivation. From the schoolroom to the boardroom, this 5 foot 6 inch stick of dynamite has presented to many companies.
Gary has also had the privilege of sharing the platform with such speakers as Roger Crawford, Nido Qubein, Mark Victor Hansen ("Chicken Soup for the Soul") and most recently Zig Ziglar. He was also a featured guest on the television show "Inside Edition" and the world famous Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, CA.
Gary's greatest desire is to assist others in rediscovering life's greatest resource - which is themselves and their attitude is the key to unlock their endless possibilities.
Gary and his family live in Sacramento California.
