It seems as though this was written after taking a glimpse into the life of Fearon Wright. Jamaican roots followed by those of the inner city of Jersey City, shaped Fearon's early views of life and pursuit of what ordinary men would deem impossible. Years after first landing on American soil Fearon took hold of one of America's fiercest sports and made it his own. Once having laced his fingers around a football it proved difficult to get them off-he was on a mission. A mission that would take him to the ranks of All-American, Most Valuable Player, and All-Star. His journey then took him to star on the Dean College and University of Rhode Island football teams.
His performance on the latter earned him candidacy for the National Football League. Fearon's talent and fierceness on the field secured him a spot on the Minnesota Vikings football team. After having shattered the nerves in his shoulder during a picture worthy attack on the opposing team's linemen, Fearon defied the odds and recovered to 200% of his abilities and was sought after by team scouts around the country but this time around he was prepared to conquer the impossible yet again and take on the dreams of another. In his deep understanding of life he realized that "Unselfishness is the key to success." This time he chose to take Rhode Island by the horns and elevate it in a way deemed unthinkable by many. The Ocean State-known for its beaches and summer homes but in this sandy place Fearon saw more. He saw a Hip-Hop Market and artist-Phokus, waiting to be embraced. The once quiet streets of Rhode Island now resound with the head banging beats and lyrics of Phokus-a signature of the Syko Rekordz label. "Football-that was for me, music-this is for Phokus."
Several near death experiences have afforded Fearon a unique perspective on life. After being stabbed in the neck and returning to the football field Fearon knew that he was unstoppable. Take a page out of the many inspirational words Fearon has to say and you'll find such quotes as: "In order to be understood you have to first understand," "The best life lived is that which we exhaust all opportunity and create paths along which others will follow," "To hold a man down, you have to get down with him."
