Growing up, Eric Villency knew he'd have the opportunity to join the family business started in 1932 by his father, Robert, and grandfather, Maurice Villency. Instead he struck out on his own, studying business at the University of Wisconsin and then starting a modeling career. Realizing that modeling was not what he wanted to do long-term, Villency began working for New Plan Realty Trust in 1997 as an analyst in real estate acquisitions and development. During that time, he started consulting on Maurice Villency's advertising campaigns, and two years later he officially joined the family business.
Today, as president of Maurice Villency, one of Manhattan's most contemporary furniture stores, Eric is striving to make the Villency brand the leading one in the luxury home market. A recipient of the "All Star Salute," an award given for interior and furniture design, Eric has been featured in The New York Times, People and GQ.
