Ed came to Skoll from the Omidyar Foundation, predecessor to the Omidyar Network in Redwood City, California, where he was Vice President of Finance and Administration. Previously, he worked at The David and Lucile Packard Foundation in Los Altos, CA, where he was Assistant Director of Finance and Administration and, later, Resident Counsel.
An attorney and Certified Public Accountant, Ed practiced commercial and corporate law for 17 years prior to entering the philanthropic sector.
He graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He earned a Law Degree from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley and remains a member of the California Bar.
