Dr. Susan Bethanis is the Founder and CEO of Mariposa Leadership, Inc., a 12-person, San Francisco-based firm which provides executive coaching to tech leaders. Sue is known for designing experiences and services that move leaders to “raise their game.” She applies insights from design thinking, linguistics, anthropology, and athletics to her roles as manager of the Mariposa team and as sounding board to her clients. Sue is the author of the well-received business book, Leadership Chronicles of a Corporate Sage, and hosts the popular monthly leadership forum, WiseTalk. Sue speaks regularly at industry conferences and meetings, and delivers keynotes to tech companies, such as Amazon, Cisco, eBay, Ericsson, HPE, Intuit, LinkedIn, Lockheed Martin, Oracle, Pinterest, and Yahoo. She is also a sought-after radio guest and panel moderator. Sue holds an Ed.D. from USF; a M.A. in Education from Stanford; and a B.A. in Psychology from Occidental. She has taught and coached for 35 years in academic, athletic, and corporate settings. She also holds a certificate from Stanford’s Design School. Sue lives in San Francisco with her entrepreneurial 11 year old son, Max. She is an avid photographer and traveler, and has been in the stands at six summer Olympics.
