Dr. Dan Kirsch Speaker & Booking Information

Dr. Kirsch founded Electromedical Products International, Inc. (EPI) in 1981 after designing the company's first product, the Alpha-Stim 2000. He has 3 decades of experience in electromedicine, including  extensive clinical practice experience. Throughout his career Dr. Kirsch has designed medical instrumentation and their applications, developed systems for implementing pain and stress control devices into clinical settings, and has been responsible for strategic market planning, regulatory affairs, and other general administrative duties.

In 1992 he was the guest of His Excellency, Dr. A. Wahab Al-Fawzan, the Minister of Public Health of Kuwait, where he taught 400 doctors post-traumatic pain and stress management with electromedicine after the Gulf War.

From 1985 to 1993 he served as Dean of the Graduate School of Electromedical Sciences at City University Los Angeles where he was instrumental in developing MS and PhD programs for licensed health care professionals.

Dr. Kirsch served as Clinical Director at the Sports Medicine Group in Santa Monica, California in association with Karlis Ullis, MD from 1988 to 1989, and in 1985 as Clinical Director at the Center and Laboratory for Pain and Stress Related Disorders at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York in association with Kenneth Greenspan, MD. He was also Clinical Director of the Electro-Acutherapy Medical Group in Laguna Beach, California in association with F. P. Meyer, MD from 1979 through 1980.

From 1980 to 1981 he was Vice President of McCall's Research Laboratories in Reseda, California where he wrote all of the marketing support materials and consulted with engineers on the development of a specialized electromedical device for auriculotherapy. During that time he also served as Clinical Director of Electro-Acutherapy Pain Center in Palm Springs.

He was Director of Education and Research for Biomedical Affiliated Services/ Biomedical Design Instruments in Burbank from 1978 to 1980 where he contributed to the design and introduced an electromedical device to the market.

While a graduate student, he was proprietor of two small businesses engaged in the sales and training of electromedical devices. During this time he gave 84 weekend seminars in electromedicine (and hundreds more since).

After attending Queens College of the City University of New York, Los Angeles City College and Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, he earned a doctorate in neurobiology from City University Los Angeles in 1981. In 1990, Dr. Kirsch was board certified in pain management by the American Academy of Pain Management. In 1997, he was named a Fellow by the prestigious American Institute of Stress (A.I.S.), and in 1999 he was named an honorary member of InterPain, the German-Swiss organization for pain management professionals. He was the First Editor of the American Journal of Electromedicine, and on the Board of Directors of two nonprofit organizations in the  field: the National Institute of Electromedical Information in New York City and the International Society of Bioelectricity in Shreveport. He is also a Patron Member of the National Chronic Pain Outreach Association, and a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neurophysiology.

Dr. Kirsch has been on the faculty of several medical specialty boards annual relicensing conferences including the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine, Clinical Electromedical Research Academy, American Institute of Stress, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and InterPain. He also lectures at universities and hospitals worldwide.

Dr. Kirsch is an active member of the American Preventive Medical Association, Great Falls, Virginia, and the Medical Device Manufacturers Association, Washington, DC. He serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Canadian Journal of Medicine and Practical Pain Management. He is listed in Who's Who in the World, Who's Who of Emerging Leaders in America, Two Thousand Notable Americans, The International Directory of Distinguished Leadership (UK) and Men of Achievement. The author of books and numerous articles, he is frequently interviewed on television and radio programs, for newspapers  and magazines. Dr. Kirsch's most recent book is The Science Behind Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation, (Medical Scope Publishing, Edmonton, Canada, 1999) and Schmerzen linder-ohne Chemie (CES, die Revolution in der Schmerztherapie), (International Ärztegesellschaft für Energiemedizin, Austria, 2000).
