Dave Paulsen was born September 14, 1964 and is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at George Mason. He took the post after spending eight years as the head coach at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts. He has also coached at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, and Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. At Williams, he won the 2003 Division III title, and finished as national runner up in 2004. Paulsen was twice named Division III Coach of the Year during his time at Williams.
