Dan Pastorini is a former NFL quarterback. While in the NFL, Dan played for the Houston Oilers, Oakland Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, and the Philadelphia Eagles.
In the 1971 NFL Draft, Pastorini was drafted by the Houston Oilers out of Santa Clara University. He was known throughout the league as being a tough quarterback. From 1971 through 1979, Pastorini missed only 5 regular season games, playing through the pain of broken ribs and even a punctured lung at times.
Later in 1979, the Oilers traded Pastorini to the Oakland Raiders. A few games into the 1980 season with the Raiders, Pastorini broke his leg. His replacement, Jim Plunkett, went on to lead the Raiders to a Super Bowl victory.
Pastorini's best season came in 1978 when he threw for a career high 2,473 yards and 16 touchdowns, leading the Oilers to the AFC Championship game. Pastorini was also named to the 1975 AFC Pro Bowl Team.
Today, Pastorini works for his company, Dataworks Plus. When not working, Dan enjoys racing boats, cars, and even starred in two movies in the 1970's.
