Dale Brown was born October 31, 1935 in Minot, North Dakota and is the winningest coach in LSU men's basketball history and led the Tigers to Final Four appearances in 1981 and 1986. He coached the team for one quarter of a century. He is also remembered as one of the most vocal critics of the NCAA because he said it legislated against human dignity.
