She taped her first half hour special (The Half Hour) for Comedy Central in 2013 and will also be recording her first CD for Comedy Central in the spring of 2014 that will be released later on in the year.
In 2013, Cristela signed a development deal with 20th Century Fox in which she sold and created a sitcom based around her life for ABC.
