While being at CNN she has reported on numerous events such as: Hurricane Katrina, Hurricanes Charly and Frances, Ivan and Jeanne, and the tsunami disaster. Costello has interviewed four U. S. presidents-2002 Nobel Peace Prize, former President Jimmy Carter, President Ronald Reagan, President Bill Clinton and President George W. Bush as well as having covered three presidential inaugurations.
Costello holds a degree in journalism from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
