Candice Bergen made her first public appearance as an infant, featured in a magazine advertisement with her parents. In her elementary years Candice was appearing sporadically on her dad's radio program before she reached the age of ten.
While growing up Candice enjoyed the luxury of the posh lifestyle that her parents provided. In her early teens, she began to rebell against her conservative parents and started living a freewheeling lifestyle which was highly publized and so her movie career began. As Candice would tell the truth, she was much better looking than she could act, and continued this status throughout most of her film appearances.
In the early 1970's and several films later, Candice Bergen decided to take her career more seriously and began emerging into a talented and reliable actress. Candice's acting career gained momentum as she sought out and received ever-improving movie and TV roles. In 1988, Candice secured a title role on the television sitcom Murphy Brown, in which she was brilliant as a mercurial, high-strung TV newsmagazine reporter.
