He's best known for his role as Lucas Roberts on the NBC daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives, a role he played from 1993-2001 and returned to in 2002. He remains on the show today. He plays the father of Will Roberts, whose mother is Sami Brady (played by Alison Sweeney). Lucas and Sami were involved romantically a few times, but their engagement broke up. In Jan, 2006, Lucas and Sami shared an intimate night due to a sleepwalking Sami joining a dreaming Lucas in bed. What exactly happened was left to the viewers imagination. Was it real or was it a dream?
Besides his regular appearance on the soap, he starred in a number of independent films, including the award-winning short Gaydar.
