Bryan Ashby is the host of Building Character where he is able to combine his lifelong passions for history, architecture and travel. Being a native of the Washington, D.C. area, Bryan was raised to appreciate antiques and fine woodworking.
When Brian was a child his favorite activities were visiting flea markets, auctions and traveling to historic landmarks. Now as an adult Bryan says those experiences provide him insight into how homeowners combine the past and the present when making homes out of commercial structures.
Bryan is a graduate of the University of Maryland where he majored in Communication Arts and Theatre. Hhe has made a career in regional theater, commercials and voiceover work.
