Mr. Anderson joined Best Buy Co. Inc. in 1973 as a Commissioned Salesman at the fledgling Sound of Music, where he served as Vice President since 1981 and Executive Vice President since 1986. He served as Vice Chairman of Best Buy Co. Inc. from 2001 to June 23, 2010. He has been a Director ... of General Mills Inc., since December 2007, and Carlson Companies Inc. since July 14, 2009. He has been a Trustee of Mayo Clinic Rochester since 2009. He serves as a Member of the Board of Trustee of Minnesota Public Radio. Mr. Anderson is a Member of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement; Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA); American Film Institute (AFI); Best Buy Children's Foundation, the International Mass Retail Association, National Junior Achievement and Waldorf College Board of Regents. He served as a Director of Best Buy from August 1986 to June 23, 2010. Mr. Anderson has an Associate Degree from Waldorf College, a liberal arts college located in Forest City, Iowa, and a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Denver.
