Brad Richards is a Canadian professional ice hockey centre currently playing for the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League. Richards was drafted in the third round, 64th overall, by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft and has previously played for the Lightning, New York Rangers, Dallas Stars, and Chicago Blackhawks.
Richards won the Stanley Cup in 2004 with the Lightning, where he was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Most Valuable Player during the playoffs. In 2015, he won the second Stanley Cup of his career with the Chicago Blackhawks.
