It reminded me of how I was always told as a child that I was worthless and that I would never accomplish anything in life - words that still haunt me. I became determined to write my story simply because I was told that I couldn't. Then, I discovered that it was cathartic and cleansing for me to write about my life. I felt free, free from what felt like secrets...free from the responsibility of such unhealthy shame."
Antwone Quenton Fisher, born in prison to 17-year-old Eva Mae Fisher and 23 year old Eddie Elkins, who was shot and killed before Antwone was even born, has become somebody, somebody quite remarkable. He is a man who survived the cruelties of foster care and the brutality of homelessness to become a successful Hollywood screenwriter and a devoted husband and father. "Finding Fish: A Memoir" is the inspiring story of his incredible life's journey.
Antwone Quenton Fisher is a producer and screenwriter working in Hollywood. His projects include the upcoming Double "O" Soul, starring Mariah Carey and Trigger Happy. His latest project is Jelly Beans, with producer Will Smith. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
