Born in Vancouver, Canada, Konechny started acting at the age of 15, in school theatre & short film productions. After graduating high school, Anthony gave full commitment to his craft and began studying in a full time theatrical/film program for 2 years. His showcases lead to a top agency in Vancouver scouting him, and launching him into a TV/Film career! His first few bookings included Canadian productions SMALLVILLE, SUPERNATURAL, MOTIVE, THE TOMORROW PEOPLE, and then a recurring role on WITCHES OF EAST END. After just begging to dip his feet in the water, FOX and J.J. Abrams snagged Konechny to be a series regular on the hit series ALMOST HUMAN, working along side Karl Urban, Michael Ealy, and Minka Kelly. After that the U.S. network continued to knock, which then lead to roles in blockbuster films GODZILLA, working alongside Aaron Taylor Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins. And then, getting a juicy role in the blockbuster FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, working with Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson. Anthony also begin working lead roles in numerous LIFETIME and HALLMARK productions, revealing a broader range of ability and character to the world. Last year, Konechny got picked up by Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg at FOX, to work alongside an amazing fleet in the new X-MEN: APOCALYPSE.
Anthony now resides in Los Angeles, California, and continues to maintain a relentless work ethic towards his craft. When he's not working on set, he's in class mastering his technique. He has worked multiple times with the acting guru Larry Moss. He loves studying through a Sanford Meisner technique, as well as Fitzmaurice approach to voice/body & movement. Outside of acting, Anthony loves staying in peak athletic condition, as well as lives a very healthy, balanced lifestyle. He has spent 20 years playing competitive soccer, and still manages to get in a few games when he can. He also has a love for music and boxing. Anthony is a proud supporter of such charities including the 'World Wildlife Fund', 'Global Green', and 'International Fund for Animal Welfare'. And also is the creator of a homeless recovery/rehabilitation project in his hometown of Vancouver.
