Amy Matthews got her real taste of home improvement when she traveled with her church's youth group to repair homes for families in need. She says her best traits for doing home improvement are her patience and her good sense of humor. And she has done it all tarring a tin roof, underpinning, and building porches.
Amy studied at Boston University and the Americal Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. After finishing her studies she returned to her roots of Minnesota where she continued to perfect her do-it-yourself skills on a magazine called "The Family Handyman."
Amy is also a personal trainer with a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has done both film and television which have included leading roles. She also has done numerous commercials.
