There cannot be many better equipped to speak at the world's largest online video conference than the person charged with making crucial decisions for YouTube. That makes company CEO Susan Wojcicki and VidCon a match made in heaven.
Wojcicki is the headline keynote speaker at the conference that runs from June 23rd-25th at the Anaheim Convention Center in California. VidCon is expected to draw over 30,000 attendees.
Plenty of experts will be on hand to share tips to build thriving online communities. Registration for industry professionals is $750, while video creators cost to attend is $200, and others interested in the video business have a fee of $150.
Wojcicki has an extensive background in the dot-com boom that has overrun Silicon Valley and the world. She encouraged Google to purchase YouTube and became CEO of the company in 2014.
Google made her one of the first official employees when she came on board as a marketing manager in 1999. She is credited with the creation of Google doodles and also was a part of the team that developed Google Images and Google Books.
Prior to working for Google, Wojcicki was on the marketing staff for Intel and was a management consultant for two separate firms. She holds master's degrees from the University of California at Santa Cruz and the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
